A: The fear of God is the beginning of all righteousness. 

A: The fear of God is the reason why people should do right. To fear God means to realize He can burn you in Hell for all eternity. That is why it is the beginning of all righteousness. God wants man to do good and turn away from sin. The wages of sin is death, and but the fear of God is the beginning of eternal life and eternal joy with the LORD God.
